It's already 2017 and it's time to take a look to top 10 Anime characters of 2016 as It was an amazing year for the anime family. The rules that this list is based on are : 
1. Only the anime characters that were introduced in the year of 2016 will be allowed.
2. From ongoing anime, only the anime characters that they were introduced in the year of 2016.

1. Osamu Dazai - Bungou Stray Dogs

Osamu Dazai (太宰治, Dazai Osamu) is a member of the Armed Detective Company and was a former Executive of the city's worst underworld organization, the Port Mafia.
He is a suicide maniac, often trying to commit suicide in comical manners but often times failing. He, in particular, wishes to commit a double suicide with a beautiful woman (a nod to his real life counterpart who tried to commit double suicide with various women multiple times). However, while his suicidal tendencies are initially comedic, they reveal a truly dark deep hole that Dazai has and believes he cannot fill. He believed he could fill this hole and find a reason worth living for if he lived a life of bloodshed and war, but his friend Oda with his dying breath convinced him to choose the good side. He understood that even though good and evil mean little to Dazai, he may become a slightly better person if he were to choose good.
Anime :Bungou Stray Dogs 
The "battle action" story Bungou Stray Dogs centers around a league of literary figures with supernatural powers. For example, in real life, Akutagawa Ryuunosuke wrote acclaimed stories that inspired Kurosawa Akira's Rashoumon film and the Aoi Bungaku Series anime's Jigoku Hen (Hell Screen) arc. In Bungou Stray Dogs, he has the power to transform and manipulate his cloak into a monster-like entity. Together, these writers solve mysteries as part of the "Armed Detective Agency."

2.Ryunosuke Akutagawa - Bungou Stray Dogs

Ryūnosuke Akutagawa (芥川 龍之介, Akutagawa Ryūnosuke) is a member of the Port Mafia and has the ability Rashoumon.
Akutagawa labels himself as the Port Mafia's "dog", and is more than willing to commit crimes and acts of various violence to further the goals of the organization. He respects the mafia's hierarchy and is obedient to his superiors, but deems his former boss Osamu Dazai as a disgrace. He is merciless and despite respecting his superiors, he tends to stray from orders, though his actions usually benefit the Mafia in the end, which is why they are excused.


3. Avilio Bruno - 91 Days

vilio Bruno (アヴィリオ) is the main protagonist of 91 Days. He is an orphan who lost his parents and brother to the Vanetti Family, having witnessed them being gunned down on his birthday. As a result, he harbors a deep grudge. This grudge is awakened when he receives a mysterious letter in the mail from an anonymous man who claims to be a 'friend of his father'. With this letter in hand, he later earns the trust of the Vanetti family through a series of events and joins them in order avenge his family by killing those responsible for their deaths.
Avilio Bruno is an alias he uses, his real name is Angelo Lagusa

4. Yuuki - Joker Game

Yuuki (結城, Yuuki) is more likely to be the main protagonist of the series as he is given even the slightest screen time in each episode. He is a lieutenant colonel to the Imperial Japanese Army/Military Police, and also a spymaster.


5. Hiiro - Seisen Cerberus: Ryuukoku no Fatalites

Hiiro, is the Son of a Legendary wizard named Bairo and Kismitete. His parents were rich and Hiiro was privileged during his early years as a child. During his early years as a toddler he was introduced to a half orc and half human teenage boy who was an orphan, the orphan's name was Giruu. After a few years a Legendary Dragon appears. This causes Hiiro's family to try and seal Dagan Zot. However Hiiro's mother and farther are both killed along with everyone who went to witness it. However Hiiro is saved by his father

6. Seiko Kimura - Danganronpa 3

Seiko Kimura (忌村 静子 Kimura Seiko) is a character featured in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak Academy and a participant in the Final Killing Game.
Seiko is a member of Future Foundation and is the leader of the 4th Division. Her responsibility is to aid in the development of new medicine and medical treatments.
During her time at Hope's Peak Academy's Class 76th, her title was Ultimate Pharmacist (超高校級の「薬剤師」chō kōkō kyū no “yakuzaishi” lit. Super High School Level Pharmacist) until she was expelled after she unwillingly got involved in a bombing incident.
Seiko is the third victim of the brainwashing video and forced to commit suicide in the Final Killing Game, becoming the fifth victim overall.

7. Kyouma Mabuchi - Dimension W

Kyōma Mabuchi (マブチ・キョーマ Mabuchi Kyōma) is a Recovery man from Mary's Recovery House and partner of Mira Yurizaki. He is also later revealed to be one of the few survivors of the now defunct anti-coil unit Grendel.He is human Collector who has largely sworn off all Coil-related technology and has a hobby of restoring old gasoline-powered cars in a junkyard. Kyouma now works as an independent contractor who hunts down illegal Coils and those who use them. His preferred weapon are large throwing spikes.

8. Yuri Katsuki - Yuri On Ice

Yuuri Katsuki (Japanese: 勝生 勇利, Katsuki Yūri) is a competitive figure skater and one of the main characters of Yuri!!! on Ice.
Yuuri was born in Hasetsu, Saga Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan, where his family owns and operates the last bathhouse inn remaining in the town.
Yuuri began figure skating as a child at Ice Castle with his childhood friends, Yuuko and Takeshi. His ballet teacher Minako was the one who had recommended him to learn figure skating.
When he was 18, Yuuri moved to Detroit to train under Coach Celestino Cialdini, and ended up staying there for five years. While there, he became friends with his roommate, Phichit Chulanont.

9. Chuuya Nakahara - Bungo Stray Dogs 

Chuuya Nakahara (中原 中也, Nakahara Chūya) is a member of the Port Mafia as well as Dazai's former partner. He is one of the five Executives in the Port Mafia.Chuuya is hot-headed and quick to act on his temper, but can analyze situations well enough given that he calms down and with enough time. He is inclined to taunt other people into a fight with him, probably because of his confidence in his martial arts skill and his Ability. He can be quite gullible as well, falling for Dazai's tricks most of the time. His ability, For The Tainted Sorrow (汚れっちまった悲しみに,Yogorecchimatta Kanashimi ni), revolves around gravity-manipulation, allowing him to manipulate and make gravitons, as well as alter the gravity of anything he touches, keeping it that way until a certain period of time.

10. Jyugo - Nanbaka

Jyugo, Inmate number 1315. He is of Japanese descent, has black hair with red streaks at the end, has heterochromia, his left eye is green and his right eye is violet. He is confident, cheerful, impulsive and gets bored easily. He is skilled at picking any kind of mechanical or electronic lock. The sole exceptions are the shackles on his neck, wrists and ankles which were placed on him mysteriously when he was asleep by a guard with a scar on the back of his neck. His father was inmate number 610 at the Nanba prison and known as the shame of the Nanba prison. He hates the guard who placed the shackles on him, and longs to find him and have them removed. He states that he has to be in Nanba as he has been to all other prisons.



First
